Welcome!

Welcome to the home of SHAWNEE LIONS CLUB in Shawnee, Oklahoma
Our motto is WE SERVE

The Shawnee, Oklahoma Lions Club has a rich history intertwined with the growth and development of its community. Established in 1919, the club was founded with a vision to serve those in need and foster a spirit of volunteerism among its members.

Originally formed as a local chapter of Lions Clubs International, the Shawnee Lions quickly became a cornerstone of charitable efforts in the area. Lions Clubs International itself was founded in 1917 by Melvin Jones, who envisioned an organization that would unite community leaders in service. This global association provided Shawnee Lions Club with a framework for its charitable endeavors and a network of support from fellow clubs worldwide.

Throughout the decades, the Shawnee Lions Club has undertaken various initiatives to support its community. From providing vision screenings and eyeglasses for those in need to organizing fundraisers for local schools and community projects, the club's has had a great impact on our city.  They have also contributed to disaster relief efforts and supported initiatives to combat hunger and promote health awareness.

The Shawnee Lions Club has evolved alongside its community, adapting its services to meet changing needs over the years. Their commitment to service has been a driving force, inspiring volunteers to join their ranks and make a positive difference.

As the Shawnee, Oklahoma Lions Club looks to the future, they continue to uphold the Lions Club motto, "We Serve," through dedication, compassion, and a commitment to improving the lives of others. Their legacy of service remains a testament to the impact that individuals can have when they come together with a shared purpose.

Big night at our regular meeting spot as the torch was passed to the incoming board of officers of Shawnee Lions Club. We had a great turn out to witness the traditional transition of power and review our club's past, present and future. Thanks to DG Rick Drummond and PP Diana Drummond for coming out for our special evening.
